Terms of use

Applies to: use of https://claudeguides.berta.one, related static pages, and the free curriculum materials in this GitHub repository (together, the “Service”), offered by Rondanini Publishing Ltd. (“we”, “us”). Berta.one is a trading name we use.
Paid products purchased elsewhere (e.g. Berta checkout pages) are also subject to their purchase terms.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to do so.
2. Licence to free materials
Open-source code and curriculum text in the repository are licensed as described in LICENSING.md (MIT unless stated otherwise). Your use of the website (browsing, downloading for personal or commercial use in line with the licence) is permitted subject to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or probe the Service or hosting infrastructure without permission.
- Scrape or harvest the Service in a way that impairs performance or circumvents technical limits.
- Misrepresent affiliation with us, Anthropic, or any other party.
We may suspend or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or others.
4. User contributions (e.g. GitHub)
If you contribute via GitHub or similar, your contributions are governed by the repository licence and CONTRIBUTING.md. You grant the rights needed to include your contribution under that licence.
5. Third-party services and links
The Service may link to Anthropic, Google, GitHub, payment providers, or others. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you use them. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
6. Intellectual property
We retain rights in branding, site design, and materials except as expressly licensed (e.g. MIT for the repo). Trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. See also DISCLAIMER.md.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rondanini Publishing Ltd. and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred British pounds (£100) or the amount you paid us specifically for access to this free Service in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater (which may be zero for free use).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, where applicable).
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content (where you provide it), or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where they cannot be waived.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this site and update the “Effective” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
